 Come fly with me, come fly, lets fly - away!   It is so easy to enjoy yourself with the premier gliding and recreational club,the 

                                      North Queensland Soaring Centre Inc.

 

Visitors are always most welcome to come along and try an air experience glider flight with one of our experienced gliding instructors.  Our club uses a 'winch' launch method which is simply a powerful winch positioned 1,700 metres along the runway from the launch area and when the flight is ready the signal is given to the winch driver and within 50 seconds you will be quietly cruising at around 1,500 feet above the airfield.  You really do not need to travel to ride the exciting rides at the theme parks south to experience the excitement of gliding!

And we do accept Visa if that is more convenient to you.

Charters Towers is a bustling town 135km south west of Townsville; about a one hour twenty minute drive along the Flinders Highway.

Have you ever thought that you will someday want to learn to fly?  Come along to have a introductory flight and you will see just how you will be able to achieve your dream.

Put it off??  Why? Until when?  You know that doesn't make sense!  It will never be cheaper!  And you will be learning with instructors that have a broad and solid background in aviation having flown all over the world as aviators in many different types of aircraft. 

If your desire is in recreational power flight we also cater for that having a basic training machine for instructional flight or for you to just have a fllight over Charters Towers while you determine your future.
